The President of the Board of Aldermen Lewis Reed was honored to attend the blessing of a playground and ribbon cutting for the St.Louis Crisis nursery and North City Outreach Center.

The Nursery located at Sis. Teresa & Bridget church 2401 n Grand Blvd is under the direction of President Diane Mueller (pictured far right) along with Pastor Timothy Cook, volunteer Coordinator of North Grand Neighborhood Services Marty Meier, Police Chief Dan Isom and scores of volunteers that help to make the playground possible. The dignitaries and special guest attended the event to give a special thanks to playground sponsors Coca Cola, Bob & Donna Viragh board members of the Crisis Nursery and young professional board member Charles Brown the playground designer from Atelier Design LLC.

The help of the community has created a zone or safe haven for parents and young children, said Richard Patton director of “Vision for Children at Risk” the neighbor of Crisis Nursery. We’re proud, recognizing the small beginnings that lead to successful lives, one small step at a time.
